To begin, pre-owned Jaguar or Land Rover must be no more than 5 model-years old and must have under 60,000 miles. It must also meet a list of stipulations, such as it was built for sale in the United States; it’s free from warranty restrictions; and, it’s clear of any outstanding service recalls and/or service campaigns.
Once a pre-owned vehicle is deemed qualified for Certification review, the first step in becoming Approved Certified is a rigorous 165-point inspection, performed by factory-trained and certified Jaguar or Land Rover technicians. If the vehicle passes the Certification review, the second step is a thorough check of its history to ensure there are no issues related to its condition or title. A copy of this report is then given to prospective buyers prior to purchase.
With a clean vehicle history report, Cole European then services and details the vehicle and grants it a factory-backed warranty—up to 7 years or 100,000 miles of limited factory coverage from the date of original purchase, whichever comes first, that covers repairs for sudden and unexpected mechanical or electrical failure. Then, and only then, the pre-owned vehicle is deemed Approved Certified.
